The 2200W Water Heater 230V is fitted to standby generators so that they start first time when the mains fails.
About this part
Most standby generators that fail to start do so because of a flat battery or a cold engine. A float charger keeps the starting battery topped up between runs, and a water jacket heater keeps the engine warm so it can take load quickly.
When to replace it
- Generator fails to crank after standing
- Battery flat after a few weeks
- Slow starts in cold weather
Before you order
Match the charger voltage to the battery bank (12 V or 24 V). Heaters must be connected by an electrician and fitted with a thermostat.
