About this part
Modern diesel injection works to very fine tolerances, so the fuel reaching it has to be clean, dry and free of air. Filters, separators, seals and lift pumps are the parts that make that happen.
When to replace it

- Water in the separator bowl
- Fuel leaking or weeping at the injectors
- Service interval reached
Before you order
Change injector seals whenever an injector is removed; a used seal will not seal again reliably.

How often should a fuel filter be changed?
Follow the engine maker's service interval. On a standby set that runs few hours, change it at least once a year because fuel ages even when the engine does not run.
