BFM3T G-Drive Engine – Prime Output 40KVA
BFM3T is a G-Drive diesel engine with a prime output of 40 kVA, for building a new generating set or repowering an existing one.
About this part
Choosing the engine sets the size of everything else: alternator, cooling, fuel system and enclosure. Rate it for the prime power you actually need, with headroom for motor starting.
When to replace it
- Building a new generating set
- Repowering a set with a worn-out engine
- Moving to a larger or smaller output
Before you order
Work from the prime rating, not the standby rating, when sizing for daily use. Larger engines are supplied to order, so send us your requirements and we will quote with lead time.
If the old part has no readable number, send us a clear photo with the engine or alternator nameplate and we will identify it before you buy.
Questions
What is the difference between prime and standby power?
Prime power is the rating for running with a varying load for unlimited hours. Standby power is a higher rating for emergency use when the mains fails, with limited hours per year.
