DG184E Single Bearing Dingol Alternator – 22KVA/18KW
Looking for the power end of a generator? The Dingol DG184E, rated 22 kVA / 18 kW turns engine power into a stable three-phase supply.
About this part
The alternator converts the engine's mechanical power into electricity. Its rating has to match the engine: an undersized alternator overheats, an oversized one adds cost without adding usable power.
Features
- 22KVA
- 18KW
- 50HZ
- 1500RPM
- Three Phase
- Easy paralleling with mains or other generators
- Standard 2/3 pitch windings to avoid excessive neutral currents
- One slot stator skewing to further reduce harmonics
When to replace it
- Building a new generating set
- Replacing an alternator with damaged windings
- Upgrading a set to a different output rating
Before you order
Rate the alternator for the engine's output at your site conditions; altitude and high ambient temperature both reduce what it can deliver.
Match the number stamped on the part you are removing, or the number in your engine or alternator manual, before ordering. Part numbers are shown for reference so the right replacement can be identified.
Questions
What is the difference between kVA and kW?
kVA is the apparent power the alternator can supply; kW is the real power at a 0.8 power factor. A 100 kVA alternator delivers about 80 kW.
What does single bearing mean?
The alternator has one bearing at the non-drive end. The drive end is supported by the engine flywheel through a flexible coupling.
