DG184J Single Bearing Dingol Alternator – 40KVA/32KW
The DG184J Single Bearing Dingol Alternator – 40KVA/32KW is a brushless, three-phase synchronous alternator, rated 40 kVA / 32 kW, built to be coupled to a diesel engine as the power end of a generating set.
About this part
A brushless alternator with an AVR gives a regulated supply with no brushes or slip rings to wear, which is why it is the standard choice for standby and prime-power sets.
Features
- 40KVA
- 32KW
- 50HZ
- 1500RPM
- Three Phase
- Easy paralleling with mains or other generators
- Standard 2/3 pitch windings to avoid excessive neutral currents
- One slot stator skewing to further reduce harmonics
When to replace it
- Building a new generating set
- Replacing an alternator with damaged windings
- Upgrading a set to a different output rating
Before you order
Confirm the engine flywheel and housing (SAE) size and the bearing arrangement before ordering. A single-bearing alternator is carried by the engine flywheel at one end and needs the matching coupling discs.
Not sure it is the right one? A photo of the old part and the nameplate of the machine it came off is usually all the counter needs to confirm a match.
Questions
What is the difference between kVA and kW?
kVA is the apparent power the alternator can supply; kW is the real power at a 0.8 power factor. A 100 kVA alternator delivers about 80 kW.
What does single bearing mean?
The alternator has one bearing at the non-drive end. The drive end is supported by the engine flywheel through a flexible coupling.
