KRP1656 is a KMP Brand top gasket set, packed to reseal the engine after it has been opened for repair.
About this part
Gaskets and seals keep oil, coolant and fuel where they belong. Old gaskets harden and take a set, so once a joint has been opened it is resealed with new ones rather than the originals.
When to replace it
- Oil or coolant weeping from a joint
- Low oil level between services with no smoke
- Hardened, cracked or flattened old seals
- Any repair that opens the joint

What is the difference between a top and a bottom gasket set?
A top set covers the joints above the block deck: head, manifolds and covers. A bottom set covers the sump, timing case and crankshaft seals.
