All generators and alternators require fuel and cooling. This means that they all have a fuel tank and a water or oil tank. To ensure that the levels of the tanks are conducive to efficient performance they need to be at the optimum levels. The MGS-300 mechanical gauge is simple in design and extremely reliable and it also has an alarm which notifies the operator when the levels need adjusting. If there are multiple generators in a system it may be difficult to keep a close eye on all the machines and a sensor alarm will quickly identify which generator needs attention. This gauge is 300mm long and will fit into a metal tank with a depth of at least 312,5mm and a plastic tank of 325mm depth. The gauge is threaded for screwing into the gauge fitting on the tank and they are standard metric or standard imperial sizes. The recommended screwing torque is 300 to 400 Neuton metres. If there is no standard thread attachment on the tank a flange option is available. The alarm current is below 0.5 Amps and the alarm level can be set at a level of 1/10 or 9/10. The operating temperature of the mechanical gauge is between -40 degrees Celsius and 85 degrees Celsius. The integrated precision of the instrument is around 5 per cent.
