Use the KMP Brand T400753 stem seal when the engine is back together and every joint has to stay dry.
About this part
Gaskets and seals keep oil, coolant and fuel where they belong. Old gaskets harden and take a set, so once a joint has been opened it is resealed with new ones rather than the originals.
When to replace it
- Oil or coolant weeping from a joint
- Low oil level between services with no smoke
- Hardened, cracked or flattened old seals
- Any repair that opens the joint
Before you order
Lay the new set out against the old seals before you start so you know which piece goes where.

What is the difference between a top and a bottom gasket set?
A top set covers the joints above the block deck: head, manifolds and covers. A bottom set covers the sump, timing case and crankshaft seals.
