The KMP Bush Camshaft T410164 is used when a cylinder head is reconditioned and the valve gear has to be restored to its original specification.
About this part
The valve train opens and closes each cylinder thousands of times a minute. Small amounts of wear here show up as lost compression, oil burning or a rough idle.
When to replace it
- Blue smoke on start-up from worn stem seals or guides
- Low compression on one or more cylinders
- Burnt or pitted valve faces and seats
- Weak or broken valve springs found on inspection

Have seats cut and valves lapped by a machine shop when fitting new valve parts, and check spring free length against the engine data before reuse.
