About this part

A G-Drive (generator drive) engine runs at a fixed speed, 1500 rpm for 50 Hz, and is set up for the sudden load steps a generator sees. Prime power is the output it can deliver continuously with varying load; standby power is the higher rating for emergency use only.

When to replace it

• Building a new generating set
• Repowering a set with a worn-out engine
• Moving to a larger or smaller output
