KMP Injector Seal T400759
Part T400759, a KMP Brand injector seal: one of the small fuel-system parts that decides whether a generator starts when it is needed.
About this part
Modern diesel injection works to very fine tolerances, so the fuel reaching it has to be clean, dry and free of air. Filters, separators, seals and lift pumps are the parts that make that happen.
When to replace it
- Hard starting or the engine stalling under load
- Water in the separator bowl
- Fuel leaking or weeping at the injectors
- Service interval reached
Before you order
Change injector seals whenever an injector is removed; a used seal will not seal again reliably.
Match the number stamped on the part you are removing, or the number in your engine or alternator manual, before ordering. Part numbers are shown for reference so the right replacement can be identified.
Questions
How often should a fuel filter be changed?
Follow the engine maker's service interval. On a standby set that runs few hours, change it at least once a year because fuel ages even when the engine does not run.
